Ai Weiwei is an artist and above all an activist for his country. He has drawns the world's attention to the Chinese culture. He has shown compassion toward citizens and spoken out for victims of governement abuses, but China has seen a need to silence him. He has been arrested for economic crime. A nation should be proud to have someone like him in his creative class.
