Chiharu Shiota

A Japanese artist in Berlin. A mix up between art performance and huge installations made with old objects like beds, chairs, windows, shoes...
Piano and chairs have been set on fire and then linked with black wool.A memory of sound in a silent room.
Beds put as a road to heaven, or maybe the contrary, a road to real life.
Two of her installations still in La Maison Rouge (Paris), until the 15th May.

  1. I like special the room with the windows, it's great. On which place in Berlin people can see this?

  2. Please, note that the first photo is not a Chiharu Shiota's work : it's one installation of the series "Mes vœux sous filet", 1997-1999 by French artist Annette Messager — made with photographies, filets, cordes, 213x180 cm.
